Zander Insurance is an employee-owned company in Nashville, TN that has been in business protecting families for nearly 100 years. Our technology team is growing fast and so is our business.
API-loving, well-rounded and efficiency-obsessed developer
We’re looking to expand our development team with a full stack developer to build and maintain code for numerous APIs, websites, and server-side applications, as well as support and comply with standardized patterns that contribute to scalable, DRY code.
Job security, flexibility to work from home, and generous compensation are not “extras” – now more than ever, they’re necessities. At Zander Insurance, you’ll get all that and more. We’ve been in business for nearly 100 years, hold the 20-year endorsement of Dave Ramsey, and are a debt-free company. Even as so many employers have been faced with the heart-wrenching reality of having to lay off employees, cut benefits, and lower pay, we’re proud to say that (thanks to our excellent team) we continue to grow.
What we have to offer:
*Health and dental insurance paid 100% by Zander Insurance *Meaningful work protecting families *Work from the comfort of your home *Employee Stock Ownership Plan after one year *Industry-leading compensation including base salary plus bonuses *5% dollar-for-dollar matching on your 401(k) *Generous paid time off *Growth and leadership opportunities – we promote from within
Your role in protecting families will include:
*Contributing to the integration of a robust end-to-end insurance API featuring reflexive response objects, payments using Stripe, and eSigning using DocuSign *Building and altering existing server-side applications that help to centralize dataflow and support business operations, sales, and marketing *Practicing professional diligence at ‘prechecking’ work before submitting PRs to remote repositories to ensure code quality, compliance, and a reduction of QA revision cycles *Exhibiting an ability to prioritize work and stay on task in accordance with Github *Maintaining an understanding of current web technologies or programming practices through continuing education, reading, or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups *Developing or validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types *Developing databases that support web applications and websites using MySQL
Who you are:
We’re looking for an experienced, fast-paced developer with a deep understanding of web technologies and an interest in learning more and growing as a professional.
