The Senior Identity Engineer will also work with Information Technology (IT), Business Units (BU), and International teams to integrate applications into Identity and Access Management systems.

The Senior Identity Engineer works with various Information Technology teams throughout the institution to protect university assets with the use of Identity and Access Management tools, policies and procedures, and standard security methodologies. The Senior Identity Engineer will also work with Information Technology (IT), Business Units (BU), and International teams to integrate applications into Identity and Access Management systems such as Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, CyberArk Privileged Account Management, Radiant Logic, Duo Multi-Factor Authentication, and other IAM technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities Use expertise to assess, design, deploy, and maintain high performance and scalable identity management systems to ensure the security of the institution Create and maintain system documentation for identity and access management technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps Work in solution implementations, upgrades, enhancement and conversions involving identity and access management software such as CyberArk, Duo, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Azure Security tools, AWS, etc. Utilize security tools to monitor and protect user accounts from unapproved use Craft and maintain documented standards, processes and procedures, aligning to university culture, policy and standard methodologies, as well as develop user guides and functional documentation as needed Responsible for developing and driving adoption of best practices around security identity and access management Explore new secure identity technologies through testing, rating and reporting on various potential solutions, with the objective of recommending the best solution for the current environment Cultivate robust and sustainable working relationships between Security, business, and technology teams to foster a cross-functional team environment Please note, a term position is a staff position that exists for a period longer than six months but is not expected to last beyond one year. Although a position may exist for a specified or indefinite period, staff who accept term positions are not guaranteed employment for the entire period; they are employed for indefinite periods within the limit of the appointment. There are no guarantees of continued employment, either within the term or when the term ends.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other similar technical degree, or equivalent experience 8+ years of technical experience with system administration, cyber security, and networking (e.g. Microsoft Enterprise Active Directory, Radiant Logic, Duo MFA, and CyberArk PAM) 1-3 years of experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes and technologies, and with IAM in the Cloud (e.g. Azure AD, AD Connect, and AWS IAM) Experience in process definition, workflow design and process mapping Demonstrated ability to develop and document technical content
