Front End Engineer with React Experience

Posted 9 months ago is hiring a full-time engineer to own the frontend codebase and guide product development end-to-end.


GoBlog has a simple SaaS blogging platform that helps bloggers create simple, beautiful blogs where they can publish easily and find a community of like-minded people. We are focused on creating a community in one vertical right now and plan to launch 2 more niche blog sites in the next 18 months. We are looking for a full-time frontend or full-stack engineer to lead our frontend development. The role will provide opportunities to stretch coding skills in both frontend and backend technologies. You will have significant autonomy and authority to make technical decisions for the frontend codebase. There will also be opportunities to grow into new roles as our technical team expands.

  • We have a backlog of changes that touch the front end including new designs, new features, and revised user flows. Work with our CTO (who is also our Senior Back End Dev) to work the near term roadmap.
  • Work collaboratively with technical, design and business stakeholders to drive product and business decisions
  • Own and manage the SportsBlog frontend code, configurations, dependencies and toolchain
  • Write clean, well-tested code applying consistent process and coding best practices
  • Actively participate in code reviews for both the frontend and backend codebase
  • Help company establish best practices for user and customer experience
  • Oversee and manage product development processes for the internal development team and external contractors


  • Mid-level+ experience in React.js, redux, Javascript, HTML5, CSS
  • Experience working with Python/Django as the backend and knowledge of the Django templating system.
  • We’re hoping for someone in Nashville so we can communicate and work fast but obviously comfortable with working remote…since we all need to be right now.
  • You’ve worked on SaaS projects before.
  • Experience implementing on-page SEO recommendations.
  • Experience implementing mockups from Figma.


  • 2+ years working with React (for the web, we’re not working on an app…yet)
  • 5+ years of front end development experience
