axialHealthcare has an opening for a Software Developer to focus on our patient engagement solutions that help solve complex healthcare problems through the power of big data and advanced analytics.

You should have a strong background in consumer facing software development, building robust backend systems and integrations, and delivering excellent user experiences. You need to embrace flexible, modular design patterns to meet our diverse base of consumers in their day-to-day lives. Usability and utility are prime concerns.

You will be responsible for juggling multiple simultaneous projects in a deadline-oriented agile environment. You will need to be a self-starter, able to work both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team. This position is full-time and provides competitive salary and benefits.

Job Duties:

  • Designs and codes superior technical solutions
  • Participates in full SDLC process, voices concerns/suggestions, and provides solutions that result in better development timelines and more stable code
  • Designs advanced data-centric solutions and amazing user experiences
  • Recognizes system deficiencies and architectural needs; implements effective solutions
  • Ensures development procedures are properly documented and kept up-to-date
  • Writes unit and UI tests to ensure quality solutions
  • Troubleshoots and debugs to optimize performance
  • Stays up-to-date with new technology and best practices


  • 2+ years experience building consumer facing applications
  • Experience working with data and data integration systems
  • Demonstrated proficiency integrating events from multiple input sources and triggering application actions in response
  • Experience developing applications backed by Amazon Web Services
  • Demonstrated proficiency with multiple consumer application authentication strategies
  • A keen sense of user empathy
  • Prior experience on an agile/scrum team


  • BS in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Relevant AWS certification
  • Experience with healthcare applications and HIPAA/HITECH data protection practices
